Seems like everyone’s diet these days is filled with fast foods and processed foods. There’s a staggering amount of preservatives in the food we eat. Thankfully there’s been an increased awareness lately toward healthy eating habits, probably due to the uproar over genetically-modified foods in fast food chains such as McDonald’s.

Many people are becoming more aware of what they are putting into their bodies. People are interested in the need to cleanse their body, creating some hype for body detoxification.

Detoxification refers to the process of removing toxic substances from one’s body; often used for treatment of substance abuse, but the term is increasingly used for referring to the diets, herbs, supplements, and other methods of removing toxins from the body to increase overall health.
