Eating for Health

Raw foods hold more nutrients than cooked foods – the higher the heat and the longer foods are cooked, the more nutrients are lost.

Juicing is an excellent way to eat raw vegetables and fruits. I have a juicer and I love it! It’s a quick, easy and super-nutritious way to make breakfast or snacks. And you’ll stay fuller longer. Even the kids like it! (I just can't tell them they’re eating broccoli and celery or the gig is up.)

Can’t eat it raw? Try steaming your veggies instead of boiling them. They will hold more nutrients and taste better. Steaming only takes about 5 minutes - make sure the water is boiling
before adding veggies to the steamer, otherwise they may end up overcooked and limp.
